Terms of ServicePrivacy Policy

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and GlowMode Holiday Lighting (“GlowMode,” “we,” “us”). They apply to this website, quotes, installations, seasonal takedown, product, and any other work we perform.

Requesting a quote, accepting a quote, paying a deposit, or allowing our crew on the property means you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not book or allow work to begin.

If you are booking for someone else, you represent that you have authority to bind the property owner. The person who books is jointly responsible for payment and for these Terms.

2. Quotes are not contracts until accepted

Website content, photos, and verbal estimates are illustrations, not offers. A written quote from GlowMode is an offer to do the listed work at the listed price. It is valid for 14 days unless the quote says otherwise.

A job is booked only when you accept the quote in writing (including text or email) and, if we require it, pay the deposit. Until then we may change pricing, availability, or decline the work.

Salt Lake County is our primary service area. Utah County and other travel is at our option and may include a travel fee stated on the quote. We may refuse jobs that are unsafe, too far, or outside our capacity.

Early-booking promotions, including savings of up to 50% off holiday installation, are limited, capacity-based, and not combinable unless we say so in writing. We decide eligibility. Promos do not apply to travel fees, add-ons, repairs, or work already booked at a different rate.

3. Scope of work

We install only what is written on the accepted quote: locations, colors, product type, add-ons, and whether seasonal takedown is included. Anything else is extra and billed at our then-current rates after you approve it.

Designs may be adjusted on site for safety, structure, power, or a cleaner line. Small layout changes to make the install work are included. Material upgrades, extra footage, extra trees, inflatables, or a different color after we have ordered product are change orders.

We do not perform electrical service upgrades, panel work, or new circuits unless that work is expressly quoted. Existing outlets, timers, GFCI devices, and Wi-Fi for app-controlled lighting are your responsibility unless quoted.

4. Your property, access, and permissions

You warrant that you own the property or have the owner’s written permission, and that you have any HOA, landlord, city, or neighborhood approvals required for the work. GlowMode is not responsible for HOA fines, permit issues, or disputes with neighbors.

You will provide safe, unobstructed access on the scheduled day: parked cars moved, gates unlocked, pets secured, snow and ice reasonably cleared from work areas, and a working exterior outlet or power source as discussed.

If we arrive and cannot work because of access, weather you could have cleared, missing power, or missing approvals, a trip charge may apply and the job may be rescheduled subject to availability.

5. Roofs, fascia, paint, and existing defects

Holiday and architectural lighting is attached to the structure you already have — typically clips, screws, or adhesive on fascia, eaves, brick, stucco, trees, or similar. Tiny holes, clip marks, and finish wear can occur. That is a normal part of professional installation.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage: rotten wood, loose fascia, failing gutters, brittle paint, cracked stucco, old wiring, or a roof that cannot safely take a ladder or lift. If we find the structure is unsafe or unsound, we may stop, requote, or cancel the remaining work.

We do not repair, paint, or replace building materials unless that work is separately quoted. Removal of old lights you or another company installed may be extra.

6. Landscape, underground lines, and Blue Stakes

For landscape or any work that disturbs soil, you must have underground utilities, irrigation, and private lines marked before we start. In Utah that includes Blue Stakes / 811 for public utilities. Private irrigation, landscape lighting, dog fence, and similar lines are your duty to mark.

GlowMode is not liable for damage to unmarked or privately installed underground lines, irrigation, or hardscape. If we strike an unmarked line, repair is at your expense.

7. Safety, weather, and delays

We may delay or stop work for ice, high wind, lightning, heavy snow, unsafe roof conditions, inversion-related equipment limits, or any condition that puts people or the house at risk. Safety delays are not a breach.

Schedules are estimates. Peak holiday weeks fill fast. We are not liable for missing a party, listing photo, or neighborhood judging date if weather, access, supply, or force majeure delays us. We will communicate and finish as soon as it is safe and possible.

You will keep children, pets, and bystanders away from ladders, lifts, and work zones while we are on site.

8. Product, ownership, and holiday takedown

Unless the quote says you are purchasing the lights, GlowMode-supplied holiday lighting, clips, timers, and décor remain our property. You are borrowing a designed install for the season. You will not take it down, move it, or keep it without our written OK.

Free end-of-season takedown applies only to holiday lighting we installed under that season’s quote, and only if you schedule takedown in the window we give you (typically after the New Year). If you do not schedule, leave town, or refuse access, we may charge a return-trip or storage fee, leave the product in place at your risk, or treat unreturned product as lost and bill replacement cost.

If you take the lights down yourself, free takedown is waived and our product must be returned complete and in usable condition or you will be billed.

Permanent, indoor, outdoor, and landscape systems you purchase are yours after paid in full. Manufacturer warranties, if any, pass through as-is. App, Wi-Fi, and third-party controllers are not warranted by GlowMode beyond our workmanship on the install.

9. Care of the install after we leave

Once we complete the install, day-to-day care is yours: timers, weather, animals, vandalism, kids, ladders you climb, and snow shedding off the roof. Do not modify, cut, or add to our work.

We are not responsible for outages caused by tripped GFCI, house power, customer timers, storms, or product you added. A service call after completion may be billed unless it is a workmanship defect we caused and you report it within the warranty window in section 11.

10. Payment, deposits, and cancellation

Prices are as stated on the accepted quote, plus approved change orders and any travel fee. The quote you accept is the quote you pay, except for extras you request or conditions in these Terms.

Deposits, if required, are due to hold the date and order materials. After materials are cut or ordered for your house, deposits are non-refundable. Remaining balance is due on completion unless the quote says otherwise. We may pause or not start work if payment is late.

If you cancel more than 7 days before the scheduled install, we refund any unused deposit minus costs already incurred. Inside 7 days, or after we have arrived or started, the deposit is forfeited and we may bill for time, travel, and materials. If we cancel because the site is unsafe or we cannot perform, we refund unused amounts for work not done.

Unpaid invoices may accrue a reasonable late fee and collection costs. You authorize us to remove GlowMode-owned product from the property if the job is not paid.

11. Limited workmanship warranty

We warrant that our labor will be performed in a professional manner. If a connection, clip, or layout we installed fails from defective workmanship, contact us within 30 days of install (or during the same holiday season for seasonal work) and we will repair our work at no charge, subject to access and weather.

This warranty does not cover: manufacturer defects after the maker’s warranty; storms, ice, wind, snow load, animals, vandalism, power surges; customer or third-party alterations; HOA-required removal; ordinary wear; color shift; or work we did not install.

Repair or re-performance of our labor is your exclusive remedy for workmanship claims. Product is provided as-is except for any manufacturer warranty.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by Utah law, GlowMode’s total liability for any claim arising out of a quote, install, product, or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost events, home value, listing photos, business interruption, emotional distress, or replacement décor — even if advised they were possible.

Some jobs involve heights, electricity, and winter weather. You accept that residual risk. You should maintain homeowners or renters insurance. Our insurance, if any, does not replace yours.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that Utah law does not allow us to limit, including certain personal injury caused by our gross negligence.

13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify GlowMode, its owner, and crew against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) lack of ownership or HOA/permit approval; (c) unmarked utilities or irrigation; (d) conditions of the property you did not disclose; (e) anyone you allow in the work zone; or (f) use, modification, or display of the lighting after we leave, except to the extent caused by our proven workmanship defect.

14. Photos and reviews

Unless you email us an opt-out before the install, you grant GlowMode a royalty-free right to photograph the exterior of the completed work (not interiors unless you agree) and use those images on our website, social, and ads. We will not publish your street address.

Reviews you submit may be displayed publicly. We may edit for length, not meaning.

15. Website and quote requests

Quote forms are sent to GlowModeLighting@yahoo.com so we can price the job and contact you. Do not submit information about other people without their permission. We do not sell your contact information.

The site, logos, copy, and photos are GlowMode’s or our licensors’. Do not copy them. Website content can change without notice and is not a warranty.

The site may be unavailable at times. We are not liable for form failures; if a request does not go through, call us.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes is the state courts in Salt Lake County, Utah, unless we both agree otherwise in writing.

If a section is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our failure to enforce a term once is not a waiver. These Terms plus the accepted quote are the entire agreement and supersede prior chats about the same job, except that a signed quote can add job-specific terms.

Privacy Policy

What we collect from quote requests and jobs, and what we do with it.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how GlowMode Holiday Lighting (“GlowMode,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use this website, request a quote, call or text us, email us, or hire us for lighting work.

We are a local lighting company based in West Jordan, Utah. This policy is for our website and jobs — not for a franchise or a national chain.

2. Information we collect

From you, when you request a quote or contact us: name, phone number, email address, city, the service you want, notes about the house, and how you prefer to be reached. If we visit the property we may also have the street address, access notes, photos of the exterior, and payment details you give us.

Automatically, when you load this site: ordinary technical data such as browser type, device, and pages viewed. We do not run advertising pixels or sell analytics profiles. The host that serves the site may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, page) to keep the site running and secure.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. This site is for homeowners and adults booking lighting work.

3. How we use it

We use your information to: price and schedule jobs; install and take down lighting; send the quote and follow up by phone, text, or email; process payment; handle warranty or takedown visits; keep job records; and improve how we run the business.

We may use exterior photos of completed work on our website and in ads, as described in the Terms of Service, unless you email us an opt-out before the install.

We do not sell your name, phone, email, or address, and we do not share it with marketers for their own advertising.

4. Who we share it with

Quote requests submitted on this site are emailed to GlowModeLighting@yahoo.com so we can actually read them and call you back. That delivery uses a form-to-email provider. Once it arrives, it sits in our business inbox.

We may share what we need with: our install crew; payment processors if you pay electronically; our insurer or lawyer if there is a claim; and authorities if the law requires it. If we use a bookkeeper or similar helper, they only get what they need to do that job.

We do not put customer lists on the open internet.

5. How long we keep it

Quote and job records are kept as long as we need them to finish the work, handle seasonal takedown, warranties, taxes, and disputes — typically the current season plus a few years, or longer if a job is unpaid or in dispute.

You can ask us to update or delete contact information that we do not still need for an active or recent job. Email or call us. We may keep a minimal record if the law requires it.

6. Your choices

To review, correct, or ask us to delete your information, email GlowModeLighting@yahoo.com or call (801) 828-6584. Tell us which phone or email you used on the quote.

You can opt out of marketing texts or emails by replying STOP or asking us. We may still contact you about a job you booked (schedule, takedown, payment).

If you are a Utah consumer, you may have additional rights under Utah’s consumer privacy law where it applies to us. We will honor a verifiable request to know or delete personal data we hold, subject to exceptions in that law (for example, records we must keep for a job or taxes).

7. Security

We use reasonable steps to protect quote information in transit and in our inbox. No email or website is perfectly secure. Do not put credit-card numbers or other highly sensitive data in the quote form — we will take payment separately.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the site or booking a job after an update means you accept the revised policy.
